Movement For Every Size

So one of my problems about beginning movement as an adult is that I have never had a very good sense of balance.  I fall a lot even with both feet on the ground.  :)  So wheeled sports tend to intimidate me.  But I loved both biking and roller-skating as a kid (even though I fell a lot then too!)  And now that my daughter is turning 7 next month, she's starting to do some of these things and I'd like to do them too.

I want to remember that exercise is fun, if that makes sense!

So on that note, I don't have a bike and I asked for this for Christmas.  I think the three wheels will help me with the balance and the basket will help us take things along without weighing me down with a backpack.

Honestly, I don't think I'll get it.  It's very tight, financially, this Christmas.  But if not, maybe I'll get it for myself with my tax refund.

What do you guys think?  I know it's dorky but I can rock dorky!

I never saw this response. Did you decide to get a bike for your SO?

That looks SO FUN. Like one of those kid-trailers on bikes but built in. I would not call you dorky for riding that. I would call you *awesome*.

Unrelated: I LOVE bike baskets, and that has a great, big basket. With mine I can get 50 pounds of groceries back home with creative use of bungie cords. You could probably get a small animal or a child in there with similar creative bungie cord use.

At the advice of some of the posters at fathletes, I actually went and checked it out. They didn't have this brand but they had two others. I'm going to test ride them - and a couple of cruiser bikes too.

One of them did have a basket big enough for my 7-year-old and she thought that was AWESOME!
